Create a campaign and get players into the table

Use the real launcher flow to create a campaign, add a starter map, place tokens, invite players, start a browser session, launch linked Voice, and recover if setup stalls.

1. Create campaign

Open the launcher, choose Create world, then walk through Rules & Content, Scene Defaults, Player Access, Invites, and Review.

Start in launcher

2. Add map

Keep the starter scene enabled or upload a map after launch. The setup wizard saves default grid, lighting, fog, and scene behavior before marking setup complete.

Map requirements

3. Add tokens

Seed starter compendium packs, open the Actors panel, drag a character or creature onto the starter scene, then confirm player token permissions.

4. Invite player

Use the wizard invite step or the campaign Invites panel to generate a player link, send invite email, or paste an invite token into the launcher.

Open invite launcher

5. Start session

Launch the campaign, confirm the active scene, open the right sidebar, and use the Voice Link panel to refresh the link, open Voice, and return to the table.

Launch Voice readiness

6. Recover failed setup

Resume an incomplete campaign, create a new invite link, refresh the Voice link, or copy a diagnostics bundle from Report a bug when support asks for it.

What the launcher completes

The launcher saves each completed step so an interrupted setup can resume safely.

Campaign setup

Creates the campaign, saves setup progress, applies system defaults, creates a starter scene, and marks setup complete only after world settings and scene defaults exist.

Player access

Generates invite links, accepts invite tokens from the launcher, and keeps player permissions explicit before anyone enters the table.

Voice handoff

Voice stays linked to the campaign. The VTT panel shows room status, a return path, and recovery actions.
